Cumberland Youth Hockey Association Board Meeting October 23, 2006
Present: John Anderson, Sharon Haugerud, Connie Black, Mike Hotchkiss, Julie Neurer, Ken Hart, Nate Anderson, John Olson
· Motion made by Sharon and 2nd by Mike to approve minutes from last board meeting.-All in favor
· Kathy Berger 1. Kathy brought Thank You notes for the board to sign to send out to the major sponsers involved in the Band Jam 2. Our total profit on the Band Jam was around $2052 3. Kathy also brought us an update on the calendars sales. We need to try to get as many back as we can so that we can get them out to other people to sell.
· Deb Goldsmith brought in the rules that she had put together for the Adult Hockey tournament that we are having. We gave some names that were interested in being on a committee for the Adult Hockey tournament. Motion made by Nate and 2nd by Mike to approve the rules that she had.
· Chad Anderson came and had some concerns about the squirt team. He would like to see us have a more experienced coach for the squirt team as he feels that they have a lot of potential do to very well this year. Chad also was wondering if it would be possible for him to donate some money to cover the cost of Adult Hockey. We told him we would table it till the next meeting and he will have to bring us a proposal as to how much he is thinking.
· Casi McClain is going to do the ordering and set-up for the concession stand. Motion made by Nate and 2nd by Mike for her to go ahead with this.
· Discussion was done on the propane that we use for the zamboni. Last year we used $665.46 worth of propane. United Ag is willing to donate to us $400 for this year, and an additional $150 in place for their sign at the rink. Our usage has increased this last year 3 X the amount we have used in the past. Jeff at United Ag has asked Jamie Black to help him to keep this monitored, to make sure that it’s the association using it and not others.
· Next meeting set for Sunday November 5th, 2006 5:00 p.m.
