Rutabaga Fest Foodstand

Workers are still needed to fill the shifts for the food stand behind The Club & Bowling Alley during the Rutabaga Festival.  The menu is simple and quick to prepare, and the shifts are short - only two to three hours long.  So all in all, a very easy couple of hours to give up out of your Baga Fest weekend to help out Cumberland Hockey, with a great view of the entertainment on stage!

Again, please contact Jamie or Connie

Black to help.  Email: jblack_em@hotmail.com or by telephone at 822-3851.  Remember that they are also the contact for skating in the Parade on Sunday.

Time is short, so contact them ASAP to tell them you would love to help out!!

Labor Day Weekend

  Brat Stand - Louie’s

As many of you know, annually during the Labor Day holiday weekend and the Memorial Day holiday weekend, Louie’s Finer Meats allows us to sell brats from their parking lot food stand.  This has always been a good, solid, fund-raiser for us, which will enable Cumberland Hockey to keep registration fees down, along with our other important events, such as the Calendar Raffle and Baga Fest foodstand.

Our long-time organizer of the brat stands, Pam DeSantis, has retired!  Thank you, Pam, for all the time you have put in to make the brat stands so successful!  Sarah Bucher is the new person in charge of the stands, and she deserves our thanks too for being willing to jump in and help out!

The shifts will be 3 hours long, and will run all four days, from Friday through Monday.  Please call her at 822-4255 to sign up for a shift.  Call early for a better choice of open shifts!  Thank you.

ALENDER  RAFFLE  Update:

A few hockey members have picked up their calendars to sell.  If you are one of them… Thank you very much!

If you haven’t found the time to pick yours up yet, please take your 20 calendars as soon as possible – With the Rutabaga Festival and Labor Day weekend fast approaching, it would be a great time to let your friends and family know that you have raffle calendars for sale.

Remember, the Calendars only sell for $20 each, or 3 for $50, and tickets can win several times over the hockey season.  It’s a great bargain for the price, and even make fun gifts!  If you have any questions, you may call 822-3328 for more info.

Happy Baga Fest weekend everyone!
