Cookbook Fundraiser

     In the last newsletter, people were told that recipes could be submitted to be included in a hockey cookbook.  This will be a new fundraiser for the association, and on the back of this letter, you may read more about it – Thank you.

       THANK YOU! 

    To all of you who helped with Band Jam!  It was a very successful 1^st time event, making a profit of well over $2000.00! 

     We had generous sponsors, that also deserve our thanks, allowing Cumberland Hockey to not incur any expenses.  Pendleton General Store donated all the mini-raffle items, the St. Croix Casino donated $500 that was used for the major raffle, the Hilltop Restaurant donated all the food, Bourbon Bill’s and Dale’s Twin Pines donated all the drinks, and the Cumberland Advocate published two weeks advertisement for free.  Last, but not least, the bands gave us great entertainment, also at no charge!

     To those of you who weren’t able to attend this year, mark your calendars for next year toward the latter part of October.

     Time is running short on our main fund raiser, the hockey calendar raffle.  Members were asked to turn in their sales and unsold calendars by November 1^st.  As of the 1^st, only approximately 500 calendars are accounted for.  Sales and unsold calendars now must be turned in by November 15^th, with the drawings scheduled to begin by December 1^st.
