R

egister!  Kids, Coaches, Refs

To play for Cumberland Youth Hockey,

Registration will be held at the Hockey

Arena, Tuesday the 19th and Wednesday the 20th,

from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Fees are as follows & include skate sharpening:

                Atoms                    Free

                Mites           $         175

                Squirts                   200

                PeeWee                 250

                Bantam/Girls         275

                High School          300

The Youth Hockey Board understands that paying the total registration fee up front can really stretch a person’s budget, so you may pay Half of the fee now and defer the balance with a separate check dated and payable on December 1, 2006.

The Board also has determined that any member that sells 50 hockey calendars will be able to Register their child for Free!  There is, however, the State Fee of approximately $40.00 that would need to be paid by the registered individual, but no fee would be due to Cumberland Hockey for 50 sales.

REFS AND COACHES:

WE  NEED MORE  REFS AND COACHES!

Registration is to be completed online, at WAHAHockey.com, and following the WI Official’s Association link.  If you experience any difficulties, Bob Nugent may be contacted for assistance at 822-8982. Anyone 12 years of age or older by Nov. 4th can apply to be a ref.

TIME  IS  RUNNING  SHORT, as coaches and refs are required to attend certain seminars and classes before they can be certified, some of which have already been held in nearby areas.  The next closest referee clinic is Oct. 28th in Hayward.

CLASSES FILL UP FAST, SO PLEASE  DON’T  PUT OFF becoming a Coach, Assistant Coach or Referee, as it will likely be a very rewarding experience.  It’s hard to believe, but we will begin making ice in about one month’s time!  The Season   is almost upon us, and we need to get ready!!

Calendar and Fund

           Raising Update…

As stated in the Registration information, hockey members may register their child for only the price of the state fee of $40.00, if a minimum of 50 calendars are sold by the member.  Also as stated before, the top seller of calendars will receive three calendars free, the next top seller two calendars, and one calendar for the third top seller.

There are many good reasons to sell those calendars!  Remember this is our major fund raiser, and your efforts count toward a great hockey season!!

Please turn your sales in as soon as possible (we will keep track of the number each member has sold) so that the money can help with our upcoming ice making and fees.

Thank you, and lets all get out there and show our support for Cumberland Youth Hockey!

Many thanks to those of you who worked Rutabaga weekend at the Buffalo Wings Food Stand and the Brat Stand Labor Day weekend!  Both events were a great success!  Cumberland Hockey will be having a celebration with live music, food and raffles for our Season Kick-Off on October 14th – Watch for more information in your next newsletter!!
